From October 19 through October 23, founders, investors, builders, technologists, operators, and community leaders from across the region will come together for DC Startup & Tech Week, one of the biggest opportunities of the year to connect with the people shaping the DMV startup ecosystem.

For anyone building in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia, the week is more than a collection of events. It creates a concentrated moment for the region’s startup community to meet, exchange ideas, discover new companies, and form relationships that can continue long after the week is over.

    That visibility matters.

The DMV has no shortage of talented founders, technical builders, researchers, educators, investors, and emerging companies, but the ecosystem can sometimes feel fragmented across different cities, industries, and communities. DC Startup & Tech Week helps bring many of those groups into the same conversation.

Throughout the week, attendees can expect programming across entrepreneurship, technology, investment, product development, community building, and emerging areas like artificial intelligence. There are opportunities for people at different stages, whether someone is exploring their first startup idea, actively growing a company, looking for collaborators, or simply trying to better understand what is being built across the region.

One of the most valuable parts of a week like this is the ability to meet people outside of your usual network. A founder may meet a future customer. A developer may find a company looking for technical talent. An investor may discover a team they had not previously encountered. Someone attending their first startup event may leave with a completely different understanding of how accessible the local ecosystem can be.

Vibe Connect is excited to be part of this year’s DC Startup & Tech Week and to help bring more awareness to the opportunities happening throughout the week.

Our own work has always centered around making technology and entrepreneurship more accessible through hands-on learning, community events, and opportunities for people to meet others who are actively building. Participating in DC Startup & Tech Week gives us an opportunity to connect that community with a much broader network of founders and organizations across the DMV.

We are especially excited about the emphasis on participation. Startup ecosystems become stronger when people move beyond simply attending events and begin contributing to them by sharing knowledge, supporting founders, collaborating on projects, and creating new opportunities for others.

If you have been looking for a reason to become more involved in the DC startup and technology community, this is a good week to do it.

Attend a session outside of your usual industry. Introduce yourself to someone you do not know. Learn about a company being built locally. Support a founder. Sit in on a conversation about a technology you have been curious about.

The value of DC Startup & Tech Week will ultimately come from the connections and ideas that continue after October 23.

Vibe Connect looks forward to being part of that energy and helping more people across the DMV discover what is happening in their own backyard.
